Calendar Scheduling Activity Explained
Calendar Scheduling is a planning activity where the client fits a set of appointments into one week, working around what is already booked. On the client's activities page it appears under the name Plan your week.
How to start it
- Open the client's profile page and scroll to the Assignments section.
- Click Start an activity now and select Calendar Scheduling from the picker (filter by the Planning or Executive function goals to find it quickly).
- Choose a session length (5 min, 10 min, 15 min, or Custom) and click Start now.
What the client sees
The activity opens with its instructions:
- "Fit a set of appointments into one week, around what is already booked. Each card carries its own rule about when it can go."
- "1 · Read the card's rule"
- "2 · Drop it where the rule allows."
- "If a card doesn't fit where you drop it, we'll say why — move things as often as you like."
- "There's no timer. We're interested in how you plan, not how fast."
The client drags appointment cards (for example, "Doctor's Appt, Mon–Wed · Morning") onto a Monday–Friday calendar grid with time slots, following each card's scheduling rule. If a card is dropped somewhere it doesn't fit, the activity explains why, and the client can move cards as often as they like. There is no timer.
Notes and limitations
- Cognitive domains: Executive function · Planning · Prospective memory (shown in the activity picker).
- The activity picker calls it Calendar Scheduling; the client-facing name is Plan your week (activity.neurofit.ca/calendar).
- There are no difficulty options on the instructions screen; the session length is chosen in the clinician picker before starting.
- Like all in-clinic starts, it is available for today only and counts as an in-clinic session, not homework.
