Welcome to Neurofit - Platform Overview
A quick introduction to Neurofit for new users - what it is, who it's for, and how the two main tools work together.
What is Neurofit?
Neurofit is a digital health platform that delivers gamified cognitive activities to support executive functioning, memory, attention, and processing speed. It's used by occupational therapists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to extend therapeutic practice between sessions - giving clients structured, measurable assignments they actually want to do.
Who is Neurofit for?
1) Providers (occupational therapists, cognitive-behavioral therapists, case managers, rehabilitation specialists) use the Neurofit Dashboard to manage clients, create assignments, and track outcomes.
2) Clients and families use the Neurofit Activities App to complete activities, and earn achievements.

What cognitive domains does Neurofit target?
Neurofit activities are designed around three core domains:
- Memory — working memory, sequencing, recall
- Attention — sustained focus, selective attention, impulse control
- Processing Speed — reaction time, visual scanning, task efficiency
Who are good candidates?
Neurofit works best for clients with cognitive or executive functioning goals. Common populations include:
- ADHD / attention challenges
- Autism spectrum (ASD)
- Executive functioning deficits
- Acquired brain injury (TBI, concussion, MVA)
- Stroke recovery
- Neurodegenerative conditions (Parkinson's, MS, early cognitive decline)
- Developmental delays (pediatric)
- Sensory processing with visual tracking challenges
- Learning disabilities with attention components
- Return-to-work or return-to-school readiness programs
- Adults in long-term disability or insurance-managed rehab programs
- Children who enjoy screen time but struggle with real-world task completion
Neurofit is designed for clients aged 6 and up, with activities that adapt in difficulty across pediatric, adult, and older adult populations.
Who is NOT a good candidate?
Neurofit is not the right fit for every client. It's important to know when another tool or approach is more appropriate:
- Clients with purely physical or orthopedic goals (e.g. range of motion, gait training, strength) and no cognitive component
- Clients who cannot interact with a screen independently or with caregiver support
- Individuals looking for a self-guided consumer app without clinician oversight — Neurofit is provider-directed
- Cases where the primary need is speech or swallowing therapy with no overlapping cognitive goals
- Clients in acute medical crisis or active psychosis requiring stabilization before rehabilitation
Best used when...
Not sure if Neurofit is the right fit for a client? It usually is when:
- The client has cognitive or executive function goals on their treatment plan
- You want measurable homework or between-session accountability
- You need outcome tracking or reporting for insurance, case managers, or families
- The client or family is motivated by gamified, screen-based activities
- You want to extend the value of in-person sessions with structured remote practice
